Please remind me about breathalyser law

Hi all,

I see there are adverts in UK sunday papers today about the law that you must have unused NF approved alcohol breathalyser in cars in France. (Since 1 July 2012)

I had this notion that this law was repealed. Am I mistaken? Can someone please clarify what the position is and where do we go to buy these once we have arrived for our holidays.

Still obligatory in a theoretical way, but there is no longer any penalty if you don't have one (nor any effort to check).

You can get them from halfords or eBay for under a fiver better to have than to get caught out but I,v never been stopped or asked if I had one.
