S.N.C.F. strike 12th December?

Just been browsing another forum and note that there may be a S.N.C.F. strike from 7pm on 11th December unttil 8am on 13th Deccember. Bob is due to fly out to Montpelier on Thursday 12th December and travel by train to Perpignan. Anyone know whether the strike is going to affect all train services - this one in particular? Also, if the strike is on,can anyone recommend any reasonably priced accommodation in Montpelier? Any info greatly appreciated!

www.easytravelreport.com suggests 3/4 of trains should be running, despite the strike action.

You can look up what is happening to your train on SNCF Direct: website or iphone etc app.

Didn;t take the risk - just as well because proposed train and following ones are cancelled.

Forfeited the flight to Montpelier today and travelling to Carcassonne tomorrow instead.

Good job only one passenger involved - otherwise could have been very expensive!

I see La Poste are out on strike today as well!
