If you are scheduled to fly to/from French airport in the next 3 days it would be a good idea to make sure your flight hasn't been cancelled

Yes I have just checked for my Belgian neighbour who is returning home to Belgium tonight.........her flight is not cancelled.

Perpignan - Bruxelles-Charleroi , Annule!

I have just spent a very stressfull hour with a non computer literate Belgian lady sorting out another flight . She has booked for next week , lets hope they do not strike next Tuesday, I did try to warn her , but hey ho!

My mums flight was cancelled for tomorrow and there are no others so have asked for refund and booked her a new flight for Friday to Girona ...2 questions :
1) do you think this will effect the Friday to Girona flight?
2) do you think flights will be changed for next week to from Perpignan?
actually i do have a third question !!
3) is anyone travelling from Girona to Perpignan this Friday morning ?

I was rebooked onto Girona-Birmingham flight yesterday as Perp-Birmingham was cancelled. We had 4 hrs 40 mins delay then on that flight from Girona, including around 1 hour sitting in the plane on the tarmac, waiting for a take-off slot, or something. The plane was jam-packed.
When we landed, those of us in the seats near the back had been asked to remain seated while someone boarded the plane. When that happened, it was to arrest a couple in the seats just across from me.
What a day!! At least my rental car was still waiting for me when I arrived at Birmingham. I have to say that Ryanair staff were most helpful and must have been as hacked-off as any of us

Doubly stung! First the SNCF strike meant our train from Beziers to Perpignan was cancelled, so I arranged to hire a car. Then the ATC strike cancelled our flight to Beziers so I had to cancel the car which we had hired because of the other strike. £64 down the drain.

Are there real grievances behind these strikes or is just a national pastime?

Can't help thinking that the fact that bus drivers in Marseilles have gone on strike because their trousers are too tight says it all!
