Items for Charity

Post by hamyat »

Hi, I have a vast quantity of good quality second hand clothes and a mountain of English paperbacks, and I was wondering if there was a cancer charity who would be interested in selling them to raise money . I know there is a fete in St Jean pla des Corts at Christmas but I’m not sure if there are charity stalls and unfortunately I’m unlikely to be in France at that time. I’m in France until the end of the month. Thanks.

If you do facebook, you could sell on Marketplace and donate the money yourself

There´s the red cross, secours populaire, secours catholique and emmaüs. I expect Google can give you their locations.

Thanks for the suggestion Sue but I’m not on Facebook and I’m a bit wary of social media.
Thank you Florence for your ideas. I was aware of Emmaus and I know where it is on the way to Perpignan but as I lost my mum to cancer ,I have always tried to support cancer fundraising and just wondered if there were any groups either raising money for research or cancer patient care.
