Recommended easy day walks in pyrenees?

Hi - we have have been visiting the area for years (stay near Prades), but shamefully have never managed to do any walking. Very keen to know how difficult walking up Canigou is from folk who have done so, so all thoughts greatly received. eg is the path clear enough / marked? Are there any recommended alternative walks, that perhaps are a little easier but as rewarding with stunning views? Thanks in advance!

The thing that I have found hard to judge from descriptions of walks is the relative sense of exposure: I can cope with roughshod bits, but I get vertigo at quite theoretical risks of falling from high places, which surprises me given that I used to go rock-climbing in my youth. I don't know if anyone can have an answer to that, unless they have had the same issue and coped.

I am not good with 'edges' myself so nothing I do will involve steep drops. Both the ones I have written up so far descend through wooded areas so the 'feeling' of exposure is reduced.
