Does anyone know anything about the town of Moissac? We are looking for a place to stay the night en route back form Bordeaux to Toulouse in August wanting to have got closer to Toulouse than Bordeaux if that makes sense. There seems to be one or two hotels and although not int the PO I thought someone might have knowledge of it?

Very pleasant about thirty years ago; I don't imagine it's changed greatly for the worse.

Hi Karrie,

I spent a very enjoyable day in Moissac a few years ago after watching Kenneth Clark's "Civilization" (again). If you like beautiful architecture the cloisters at Moissac are really worth seeing. The abbey itself is also very old and interesting. We had a super lunch in the sunny square in front of the abbey, where we saw modern-day pilgrims on the way to Compostella chatting and resting in the fabulously carved abbey entrance.

If you do decide to go, please say 'hello' from me.

Sue
