Sorry to hear about your dad Pearson. I am afraid I class anyone who doesn't live here all year round as being on holiday as they are not a permanent resident.

We have 4 cats who all wear a collar that has a little box on it. If the cat goes to pounce on a bird or mouse then the box bleeps and a red light flashes to allow the would be dinner time to scurry off and the cat lose out. The cat is not tasered or harmed in anyway. We have loads of lizards, birds...

If you are resident here you must apply for the EHIC card from CPAM (unless you are a UK retiree and then you apply to DWP in UK). It can be used in any of the European member states but not in France i.e. your place of residence. If you are non resident in France and just a visitor then you will ha...

I wasn't in anyway referring to the P O Life article Allan and agree with all you say but was just giving my own feelings on the event. I am completely against animals being used in this way and in circuses or large whales in little pools.

I went to the Feria (bull running) at Ceret when we first moved over 10 years ago. That was my first and last time. It it not my conception of sport or fun to watch a load of drunken louts chasing absolutely terrified bulls.

Not to do with property tax but I note that you both have some years until state retirement age (that is if you are British) and as such will not be entitled to Medical cover unless you are going to take up some sort of employment.

I would imagine not. It will need to be registered in the name of the new owner/s at the French equivalent of the Land Registry and taxes (if any) paid.

After suffering the embarrassment of having our card refused in Leroy Merlin when renovating our property and buying loads of ma...

Intermarche Argeles is certainly more expensive on certain items. Also annoys me that the meat deals cease in the summer and meat packages are not only dearer but also pack sizes double or triple.

I don't know if the Elne Intermarche will be opening too but if it is you may find it a lot less crowded and less expensive. I must admit I never use Intermarche unless I really have too. So overpriced. It's good old Lidl or Spain for me.
