Had lunch today at Totsompots, Colera. 4 courses, bottle of red, bottle of water, excellent, morish, bread and coffee for 12.50€. I dont know how they do it. Each course was good sized, especially my husbands pasta 2nd course. Left feeling so full. Excellent value and well cooked.

I have been told to use a stabilising solution. This is the same as you would use on a concrete floor prior to painting it and doesnt stop the wall/floor from nreathing. It is pricey in England and I dont know if its available here or indeed what it is called.

We brought our card with us 4 years ago. It was in a digi box we bought off ebay so dont know how old it is. Is it possible to buy a new card out here when you have no address in England and at what cost. We too keep getting a message pop up saying to apply for a new card.

Thanks Roger that was very helpful. I am so used now to making my suet free dumplings which are very light using baking powder I will stick with those. I am sure they must to some extent be healthier than the suet ones or am I just trying to convince myself!

Thanks Thumbers and LL. I will look next time I am shopping in one of the larger supermarkets as I tend to use Lidl and Eds both of whom are good in many areas but while remaining basic in others.

I want to make a white only soda bread being the most popular in northern ireland and my recipe calls for bicarb of soda. I have obtained this on ebay along with baking powder for making suet free dumplings for pot au feu. I have not been able to find either of these 2 ingredients out here and rarel...

I can now say the Rajah vindaloo paste bought in Perpignan is not half as good as the Pataks vindaloo paste. Neither the texture nor the taste are as good and it is far too salty.

I agree with you John you cant beat the Asian Centre for choice, they seem to sell everything. I just couldnt be bothered to go there yesterday after a visit to the dermatologist so went to the place in Perps which was close at hand to where I was parked.

I bought some "Rajah" vindaloo paste yesterday in the asian shop/cafe in Perpignan. Its just down on the left opposite the Casino Supermarket as you are entering Perpignan. As a matter of interest has anyone eaten there. The food on display looked very good and it was very busy. They do have a selec...

Would just like to confirm what John and Elaine have said. We have been to Fogons many many times for lunch. Only on one occasion have we gone for anything than the most reasonable menu, which I think is about 18 euros and includes aperatif, wine and a digestif plus starters, main and desert plus in...

We have lived here now for nearly 4 years and I keep saying I must go to the Mairie and change to a French Licence. I assume you go there first and collect the relevant application form. When returning the completed form what is required by way of identification. Is there a fee payable.

Mr Peyras the dentist referred to previously speaks a little english and is very goo.

Dr Sautai on Argeles Plage near to Ecomarche speaks excellent English and seems to be an excellent doctor.
