contributions sociale

I shall be interested to see what ours are this year too John. I got my state pension for the first time in April of last year along with a very small private pension arising from opting out of SERPS. To date our contribution sociale has been small and acceptable and it is right to put in as well as...

A Humax Freesat HDR is a machine that will show HD programmes and is also a recorder. As far as I am aware (but you will need to speak to a Sat Man) you cannot use a splitter you must have a double LNB (we had a quad) and run 2 cables from your dish to your box. I am only a woman but thinking about ...

It is FREESAT you want. It requires a satellite dish and 2 cables from dish to box. If you only currently have a single LNB on your dish you will have to buy a multiple one. As I understand it one cable is for playing and one is for recording. If you go for an HD you are able to record both HD and S...

I (my husband) wants an HD plus box. Sky is no good unless you subscribe, we do not. What we all need is a Freesat (NOT freeview) box. The one recommended by Montgolfiere is the Humax Foxsat HDR. They now do a 320 GB and a 500GB. I think for us a 320 weould be more than sufficient. The Argos price w...

televisioin repairs

This happened to us some while ago. Before going to the expense of a tv repair man look at the scart lead. If you have more than one scart socket on your tv plug the scar into another socket. If this doesnt work then try a different scart lead as you may have a broken wire in your existing lead, whi...

What do we know

We normally eat around 6. Any later than that I dont sleep well as I suffer heartburn from late meals. I usually have a couple of glasses of wine whilst cooking the meal but dont take any with the meal itself. I think there is a lot of snobbery surrounding wine in that if its expensive it must be go...

Someone told me yesterday that everyone over 60 with a carte vitale receives a letter from CPAM offering a free injection for le grippe. Is this correct or am I right in saying it is only people with serious health problems that receive it free.

Have you tried Carrefour Bio shelves rather than the flour shelf. Also I am sure I have seen it in the past in the Bio shop at the rear of Gifi, Argeles.
