It's nowhere near Argeles, though it is by the same architect as Château Valmy. It's an amazing pile, built for one of his three children by the maker of Job cigarette papers. You won't get much change out of 22000000 euros, if the Sotheby's website is to be believed. Interesting video clip of the p...

if you are a lover of the sea, the area known as La Falaise in Leucate has the only beach totally protected from the Tramontane and some lovely villas looking out to sea. La Franqui is also reputed to be fairly wind-free, but it faces North, so I don't see how that can be true. Wind has its virtues;...

The best advice I can give, as one who lives in a ravine, is, don't buy in a ravine. However, all along the river below us there are swimming holes which require no expensive upkeep and have flat, smooth rocks for sunbathing and plenty of little pools where kid can catch minnows and adults keep the ...

Various internet speed testing services tell me that I am only achieving at best 1.7 mbps, while Ariase says that I should be getting over 6 in Sorede. On the Kodi (ex-XBMC ) system, the Mashup repository has disappeared in mysterious circumstances, leaving me half-way through Season One, Episode Three of Game of Thrones. Is there any other repository which contains the whole series ? I am too tight to fork out for a boxed set.

Today's Daily Mail confirms what a lucrative scam printing ink is. Ordinary black ink for a printer is 51 pence per millilitre. Dom Perignon champagne is 15 pence per milliitre. All the big companies are at it; Epson is perhaps the least greedy, but HP and Canon practise a 600% markup. I came across...

If you follow the road up to the hameau de Lavail, the old boy who has the house on the right, just opposite the bar does delicious honey from his family's hives on the slopes of the Chateau d'Ultrera, but be quick, I think he's contemplating giving up the business.
