Most decent butchers should have some hanging up Malcolm at this time of year, or at least be able to take an order. Or (and I'm so sorry cos I know that I shouldn't but I just can't help myself  ) you could find a pheasant plucker....sorrrrrrrry, sorrrrrrrry 8) I am not the pheasant plucker,...

Espi Argeles

Went to Espi in Argeles this morning with the intention of buying a Buche Noel having seen them advertised on the Home Page.

None available and very few cakes available, very disappointing I cannot believe they had so little on offer on 23rd December!!

Bose Solo TV Sound System

Has anyone got one of these or know someone who has? Are they any good?
I think they consume less power than using a HiFi.
I'm currently using a Sony Bravia and a Denon CEOL.

ITV iPlayer not working on Firefox

Today I decided to watch Lucan using Firefox with the media add-on. For some reason it would not work and I got a pop-up message stating that I had Ad-Blocking software installed and that I would need to remove or disable it before continuing using iPlayer. I disabled Ad-blocker but nothing changed....

Do SES have a problem with Astra 2E?

Given that the satellite was launched on 29th September and we were told it would be operational 6-8 weeks after that, I find it strange that it's still at 43.5°E this morning. http://www.satellite-calculations.com/Satellite/Catalog/catalogID.php?39285 I understand that normally SES issue regular up...

Does anyone know of a good Hygienist in P.O.? This far south it would probably be a practitioner from Germany, Denmark or Holland or possibly from the U.K.

You may need to spend some time researching healthcare. Your father will need to join the French healthcare system, for this I recommend a trip to CPAM in Perpignan with all the paperwork he will need. In addition, you will need to look at "top-up" insurance as I understand they are now asking for e...

I had a similar call two weeks ago via the Orange "Stop Secret" system. The caller claimed to be from Orange's Client Service team (now there's a contradiction in terms!) I challenged the caller and she hung up. A call to Orange the following day resulted in their confirmation that the call was frau...

Re: Astra 2E Testing 22 November

Provisional testing of ASTRA 2E to begin around the 22nd November 2013. This will during the following weeks give us a clearer indication of exact dish sizes required if we can lock onto ASTRA 2E to obtain a stable signal if available for Freesat channels BBC, ITV etc. Reproduced with courtesy of; ...
