Re: What do we know

We normally eat around 6. Any later than that I dont sleep well as I suffer heartburn from late meals. I usually have a couple of glasses of wine whilst cooking the meal but dont take any with the meal itself. I think there is a lot of snobbery surrounding wine in that if its expensive it must be g...

from Helen Disagree with some - agree with others. Dinner at 6? Unheard of (even when we lived in England). That was supper time for the little ones. Wine without food? Ditto even if you include that Brit anathema, the cheese-and-wine party . (I mean, who, in all honesty, wants to drink sugary plon...

We have a bottle of wine most evenings, but usually after we have had our meal and relaxed ready to put our feet up. I also notice when we are in the UK we have our evening meal early 5:30-6pm but in France it's nearer 8pm and a glass of wine with our meal...why????

The Girls by Lori Lansens

I am 3/4 of the way through this book, and finding it very (sadly) interesting, you can't believe what kind of life they lead, anyway this is a review that may interest you. The story is about Rose and Ruby Darlen. What isn't made clear by the cover of the book is that Rose and Ruby are conjoined tw...

Just read this..how sad.. Rescue at Rainbow Bridge Unlike most of the days filled at Rainbow bridge, this particular day dawned cold and grey, damp as a swamp and as dismal as any day could be imagined. All of the recent arrivals had no idea what to think as they had never experienced a day like thi...

If the Water People give the money (reduce T&G's bill), I will call them and tell them that my water bill was too high and I want some money too, especially if I didn't have any proof that the work was done. Blackduff T&B proved their water was leaking, not that they are trying to pull a fast one.....

Re: warning: unpopular statement ahead

I am surprised at the above posts. So much so that I read them looking for hints of irony. Is there anybody here that wants to buy a property with signed pieces of certification that mean nothing because they were done on a 'drive-by' for a mate? ...I would say the majority of people do their own w...

Duel Fuel Range cookers.

If I bought a duel fuel range cooker in the UK, could I bring it to France? Would the jets for LPG have to be different etc? when I had one in the UK we used red bottle gas. I have looked for the cookers in France but they are so expensive.
