lovely new shop in Argelès

BIG RECOMMENDATION. I popped into the shop "Entre Fil et Bois"next door to Picard in Argeles this morning. It is run by the ESAT Les MIcocouliers who are the whip makers in Sorede. At the shop there is a sewing room, where they make bags, of all shapes and sizes, purses, specs cases etc. All the dif...

To me it's clear that you must go to the desk inside the airport at the time you want to leave your car there. Otherwise, your ticket could not be timed for your parking period

facebook

At regular intervals, no matter what website I'm on, a little window appears on my MacBookAir, from facebook, telling me to put in my password in my "system preferences". I have got so fed up with this, that I finally did it, even though I am logged on to facebook already. It hasn't stopped the litt...

Recommendation - Evergreen Garden Services

We 100% recommend Evergreen Garden Services for all tree and garden work. Andrew and Corinne are careful, considerate hard workers. They have removed 4 pine trees for us, and left the area tidy and clean. They also removed all the unwanted branches. There is an ad in P-O Life - their tel. no. is 04 ...

I have one or two such instances... Here in St André we have become good friends with our daughter-in-law's former teacher in UK. In the 80's on a hot day in London I got chatting with a lady over a much needed coffee. She was heading back to Christchurch NZ the following day, and it turned out she...

I have a PAYG sim from Leclerc (Réglomobile). You buy the sim in-store at the level of usage that suits you. I think there are about 3 levels - with/without texto etc. Top up as you need to. Unused credit rolls over into new balance

plasterer

Some friends in Sorède need a ceiling plastering/skimming... We employed an excellent plasterer a few years ago called Mark Keegan - does anyone know if he is still available and how to contact him? Or can anyone recommend a plasterer?

we bought a dog grille for our 2005/6 Touran online....some years ago. I think it was a company on ebay that supplied it. It was new, not second hand. When our rescue dog was first with us, he would bite through anything that tethered him, including straps in the car. e.g. https://www.ebay.ie/itm/NE...

Parking at Carcassonne is fine, but wear decent shoes as it is quite a stride in a long thin carpark. As for cost - not bad. We paid 56€ this week for 10 days parking. And use the loo in the plane if necessary before landing at Carcassonne as there isn't one in the temporary arrivals portacabin. Y...
