I was intrigued by Allan's reference to recent arrests and so went a-googling. This link explains more about what happened: https://torrentfreak.com/organized-crime-police-raid-pirate-android-tv-box-sellers-150630/ But as for Neil blaming the BBC for restricting programme rights, it's much more comp...

Internet speed is very location dependent. For instance, even 10 years ago, I was able to get 8 Mbps. Today, there's plenty of talk about fibre. This link to Orange will give you an idea of the kind of packages available

I'm planning to buy a LHD car soonish....so far research has shown that, thanks to the strong pound/euro exchange rate, it is definitely cheaper to buy in France. But, to put that in context, that's for a new car; and a small one at that! I didn't set out considering a new car - but the price/mileag...

Eating Out in Barcelona - recommendations for lunch
I spotted this article recommending 10 restaurants for lunch in Barcelona, on the Guardian website. So far, I haven't tried any of them - but it looks a great list, so thought it was worth sharing the link. http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2015/jun/15/top-10-budget-restaurants-barcelona-for-lunch

I am very intrigued by the range of content your website says will be available. There are some pretty big claims - 'every UK broadcast channel', live sports, a wide range of movies on demand and subscription free, box sets - on demand and subscription free. Then there's documentaries, kids programm...

New bus service
Mega bus starts a new service tomorrow which includes the option of a twice daily service between Perpignan and Barcelona. There are a number of options heading north too. I did a quick search on a ticket for mid July and was quoted £4. More info http://www.lindependant.fr/2015/06/01/barcelone-ou-co...

Another option at the moment is Glasgow international to Carcassonne. Flights are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You can then either hire a car or take the train to Perpignan, changing at Narbonne. In the past I've also taken a train direct from Glasgow Central to Manchester airport, and then flown Ry...

M6 - documentary on drug trafficking via the A9
We've probably all been stopped at some point by the douanes when crossing between Spain/France, so I was intrigued by this documentary on M6. The sound's rather low-level but perfectly OK if you ramp up the audio (and then duck when the ads come on) - but worth persevering as I found this a fascina...

The quickest way is to get the TGV from Barcelona Sants Station to Perpignan
(The train from Barcelona airport stops there)
You can check times here:
http://uk.voyages-sncf.com/choose-your-outbound-journey
Costs about 22 Euro and takes about 1 hour 20 mins

, why not visit your nearest garage , within walking distance will make things easier in the future , and ask them to look out for a good 3 / 4 year old car , that they would trust and find easy to service . That way if they are trustworthy , your running costs and depreciation will be kept to a mi...

Which engine size/type did you take with your Sandero Stepway? Dacia certainly seems to come out well in mpg, although some of the UK reviews are a bit sniffy about performance on the motorway in terms of drive/noise. I'm guessing that's not something you recognise! A recent hire car I had - a VW Po...

Advice on buying a car, please!
I'm now spending more time out in the PO and it no longer makes as much sense to hire a car every time. (This past winter I've been hiring at Girona airport for very reasonable rates - but the Spring change in flights will now mean flying in to France, and higher costs) So, I'm thinking of biting th...
