It is not just the price of the carre grise. There is the malus ecologique that has to be paid as the car was not sold new in France. This means that when imported the owner is liable for the tax when they ask to register it here. A Jag would be around the 14cv which justifies the 754 euros that you...

If it is the Prefecture who has told you the cheque is wrong then you will have to pay what they have told you. They very rarely get it wrong , the mairie on the other hand often get it wrong so if they are the ones who quoted you the first price then you can be pretty sure they got it wrong . Sorry...

I would double check for the CPAM part as implants and crowns are very low in reimboursment under the French system . Your link was written in 2014 so prices have probably changed by now. Personally I had a metal crown in 2013 and paid 250 euros out of my pocket and this was done at a dentist in Fra...

Yes but there was a butcher there before him which did not last either. Not sure if he took over that one or had another shop but if he had done his homework he would have realised that it was not really the right place to start up. Lot of shops in Mas Guerido are closed down or closing down unfortu...

Hi. There is only 1 bus stop at Perpignan airport,on your left as you walk out. Take bus to Perpignan and then either walk the rest of the way or you walk over the road and get another bus to the train station. 1.30 euros I think each trip. Appart city is opposite the trqin station if I remember rig...

Haha a train at Perpignan airport? Somebody has been drinking too much wine😂😂😂. If you are lucky the bus will be there waiting for you( although they do have a knack of driving off just as the plane actually arrives so you just wait for the next one) , lot cheaper than taking a taxi. Train ...

ALD is not a permanant thing. It has to be renewed by your doctor every 5 years . I would guess that your doctor has not done the necessary so for the RAM you no longer have diabetes so no ALD ( I know that diabetes lasts a lifetime and does not go away but the computer at the RAM doesn't😉). Hi. It iis the same as taking a French registered car to the UK. Insurance is always more expensive if kept on foreign plates. If the car is staying here all the year round I am pretty sure that you should register it here to be legal ( although someone on here might well prove me wrong).

I have just completed the majority of the paperwork asked for by CPAM and now they have come back asking for the S1 form. I am 62 and still working (overseas) The S1 form seems to be for a stateless person born before 1983 and nothing to do with Health. Can anyone tell me, Do I have the correct for...

Agree no point you going to court. If they start threatening to take you to court just ignore them . A cpurt will ask them for proof of qualifications for the work they have done and will also ask why they have not set up as AE properly if they are qualified. The description they have give is for do...

So they have set up in a way that they do not need to pay to do the course to become AE or give any form of qualifications . I wouldn't pay them anything. Let them take you to court and explain why they were doing work they were not qualified to do.

If you didn't get an official quote in writing ,which you then pay a deposit and sign to say you agree to it ,how can they force you to pay? From what you have said everything has been verbal agreement so no actual proof they actually did any work for you. I would recommend taking photos of everythi...

Also depending on the op there may be extra fees that are not reimboursable. Be very careful when choosing your doctor and surgeon. Even the anesthesist can charge extra if they want.

A carte de sejour is not based on how long you live here. Every Brit expat over age 16 ( or 18 can't remember which)had to apply for one up until around 2002 when it was stopped. It is just based on a person being resident here and proving you have enough money to live on. Asking for French citizens...

I would think just about anyone fits the criteria at the moment for a carte de sejour. These were obligatory many years ago and to be honest they are not very strict rules. If ( or when) UK Brexits I doubt that it would even be valid as everything will change in that respect. There is no advantage a...
