clic clac uk to France

Has anyone had single pieces of furniture sent from UK to France? Not too keen on clic clacs I've seen here. Thinking about having one sent out from U.K. if not prohibitively expensive. Second hand item, not new but a good design.

We bought replacement pvc pipe - and a replacement piece should it happen again. We had to transport it home on roof of car. Even metal pipes around here get bashed. I've seen some houses with pipes set into the wall - but as ours is made of riverstone I'm loathe to disturb the wall. Gus's idea soun...

It is a pvc pipe. Do you know where I could buy a ready made cage? I think having one made to order could prove expensive?

Or is this something which has to be specially made - haven't noticed them in the hardware shops. Any informat...

As I said we use these flours easily available in Intermarche to make English style bread which is tasty and keeps longer than boulangerie bread. We make 2 at a time so can freeze one Boulangerie bread is fine but English bread has more texture and easy to do in machine. I do buy boulangerie bread b...

Husband likes to make English style bread and these flours work very well. We buy baguettes too but also partial to brown bread - and toast. Baguette no use for these.

Strikes

Is France planning a seies of strikes - not only rail workers but also air traffic controllers and civil servants? Something to do with Macron's planned changes?

Not in France at the moment but will be soon?

French CT valid from date of test - unlike U.K. where you can have an M.O.T. in advance without losing weeks of M.O.T.

Something to consider.

I believe M. Macron is also planning to privatise S.N.C.F. by decree. This means France will have a wondreful unconnected system like that of the U.K.

Looks like SNCF are now planning 36 days of rolling strikes (2 days strike 3 days work)to protect their jobs commencing on 3rd April.

Think carefully if travelling via Carcassonne/Beziers or from further north.

On a personal note, its good to be able to fly into Beziers and get a train all the way to Argeles. Flying into Perpignan is not so convenient now that the buses don't meet up in Perpignan(as happened at the old bus station). Will there be a connection from Perpignan for the Yellow Train when the to...

A right hand drive car has certain advantages in the P.O. where many country roads have deep ditches at the side - if you are nearer you can see them.Same goes when driving roads such as the Col de Banyuls. If you are on the "cliff edge" side you know how much space you have when meeting a vehicle t...

The lack of public transport may also cause problems for some. O.K. there is a reasonable (not exactly good!)coastal service between Perpignan and but try getting from somewhere like St Andre or Palau to Perpignan. Not so easy. A reason why people may reluctantly have to drive. The recent incidents,...
