Re: Eurostar to Avignon

Yes, we contemplated the train via Lille.
But have decided to drive as it then gives us more flexibility for return dates.
We have bought a fully flexible ferry ticket......

Re: Eurostar to Avignon

Just an update....Eurostar refunded the money yesterday and we’d already had the car hire refund last week ( car rentals.co.uk) so a pleasing result!
Still waiting for Ryanair refund for Easter flights but you can’t have everything.....

Re: Eurostar to Avignon

Hello Alan, Despite Eurostar’s best efforts I managed to find a way to circumvent their desire for us to take a voucher for our cancelled return journey to Avignon next month. Hidden in the faq pages you can ask for a refund (even on non refundable tickets as long as Eurostar is doing the cancelling...

Re: Easyjet

Thank you, Alan.

We had guessed that. But seems strange to decide for next year already.....

We don’t want a voucher so have submitted a request for a refund-We found a well disguised link via faq page and are waiting to see if we are eligible.

We will update you!

Re: Easyjet

Hello, Just had an email this evening telling us that Eurostar will not be running to the south of France in 2020 or even 2021! ‘We’re really sorry to tell you that we’ll no longer be running our direct summer trains to Lyon and the South of France for the rest of 2020 and 2021’........ We’ve been o...

Re: Easyjet

How frustrating, Alan. We sympathise. We are still waiting for refunds from Ryanair for flights in April to Toulouse. We requested the refund option but that took us immediately to a voucher request form...... We have always tried to be positive and supportive of Ryanair - after all, they have reall...

Re: Life Café? More like a morgue

Hello Sus, Thank you. That does sound encouraging. We’ve chosen to go to Avignon to avoid changing in Paris but obviously Montpellier is closer at the other end. Swings and roundabouts..... The latest is that there are no trains to/ from Ashford to/ from Avignon till at least 29 th June. Paris and B...

Thank you for that, Alan.
The car rental tips are useful.
My brother and his family took the train for the same journey last year and we’re very impressed so fingers crossed......

Re: Life Café? More like a morgue

Hello Rombolo, Not sure about being ‘ new blood’ but if, like Allan, I can help someone in the way we have been helped over the years, I’d be delighted. We are planning (more in hope than expectation at this stage, sadly) to get the direct Eurostar ( first time!!) down from Ashford to Avignon, pick ...

Hello, I look at the forum and website most days but I’m afraid I don’t contribute much -I am not in France for long enough each year to have much specialist/ insider knowledge- and have no idea how your ranking system works. Business Centre????

Hello, Can anyone tell me if such a thing as a business centre exists somewhere in the region? We do not have internet access in our flat - except through our...
