We're bringing our dog to France for the first time next week, there are a lot of regulations going back into England, it may be an idea to have a chat with your vet. :)

That place sounds really nice Blackduff
I always think Chateau Valmy should have a restaurant, you can sample wines on their lovely terrace, view over the vineyards towards the sea, perfect setting for a restaurant

I love seeing all the grape pickers mooching around in the vines hard at work with the baskets on their backs, and the pick-up lorries piled high with juicy grapes, such a romantic scene.....although I'm sure the reality is much different

Hi Carol We picked up the autoroute at LB and went to Girona last Wed lunchtime, we'd seen articles on the traffic queues so packed a picnic and left iin plenty of time, the traffic was certainly a lot heavier than we'd experienced before but no queues, the border had 3 lines going through instead o...

I'd love an article on Languedoc-Roussillon produced wine, how to read the labels, how to decipher whether the wine is produced and bottled by the vineyard or from a co-operative, grape variety, basic stuff to most folk but although I love drinking the stuff, we generally choose our French wine by d...

I'm sure Weldon sell plug-ins that are supposed to send out a signal to make it uncomfortable for the little critters so they leave tout de suite and find somewhere else to fly around. I couldn't tell you if they work or not, I'm going to get some for our apt as the first line of defense...

I hope not, I love red shoes but don't have the same emotion for dyed red hair.!! I've often wondered about the red hair obsession, it seems rife amongst women of 'a certain age', not necessarily French I hasten to add!

We tend to use carjet.com, they give you the lowest price from all the agents, of which all have charged 7 euros per day for travelling into France. The latest carjet hire is from AurigaCrown Car Hire, you pick up a mini-bus from outside Girona arrivals and it's a 2 minute ride to the office, We're ...

What are you lot like!! Ok the wines might be a bit fresh, light, whatever, but a lot of the producers did advise letting the wine age. It was a lovely atmosphere, generous glugs of wine, unlike the thimbleful i've had at local 'degustations'. Agree prob no vintage for sale, but for quoffing (especi...

Wine Tasting in Perpignan Streets

When in the PO last year we 'fell' over a wine producers event in Perpignan where you buy a glass and go around the stalls tasting and chatting about the wines, I think it may have been the first pressing.

I'd love to do the same this year, anyone know when the event takes place?
