Pets UK to France

I've successfully taken pets back to the UK via Eurotunnel - the internet is awash with details of how to do it. But now I want to reverse the process, and I'm finding it rather more difficult to find out what is required. The 6 cats and one dog (yes, really!) will be travelling in a van with 2 peop...

Wasps!

Just a quick recommendation. I found a very active wasps' nest in our garden shed the other day. Had to get rid of it, for various reasons, so phoned the man who advertises here - he's called Fabrice Delpeche (I think) and he's on 06 86 12 54 58. He and a mate came the following morning, from Le Sol...

Thanks all. I shall miss my old mate whom I first met more than 45 years ago, I realise. The funeral is now arranged for Friday 28th, 11:30 at Perpignan Crematorium (that's the one near the airport, not at Canet). Sandy would love to see as many of you as can make it. Pete.

Ah, but... Another change I've just noticed is that they're no longer charging the £6 per passenger per leg fee for paying them! I only noticed because they wouldn't accept payment from the Cash Passport card I was previously forced to take out.... It seems to be 2% of total transaction for credit c...

Re: Mac

Hi Well i finally took the plunge and joined the Mac club ... Do i need an external drive in order to run back ups using "time machine"? Hi Rob I don't know if it's necessary, but it's certainly advisable - so if your Mac crashes (rare, but it does happen!) you have a complete copy of everything on...

Just to add my own condolences to Roger's family. I met him just once, we spoke a few times on the phone, but he was absolutely caring and, as all have said, a true gentleman.

So sad.

I'm picking up a Hertz car from Béziers for the first time next week. No fuel restrictions mentioned so far; I'll see what happens at the airport... Well, that was just fine. I'd booked through Ryanair, got an upgrade (not sure why), the tank was at 3/4 and I was asked to bring it back about the sa...

Can't avoid the Credit/Debit charge unless you can get an Electron card, which are virtually impossible to get hold of. RyanAir/Hertz car hire

It now seems that if you book a Hertz car from Girona through RyanAir for 3 days or more, they insist that you pay for a full tank of petrol and return the car "empty".

Of course, you don't discover this until you've completed the booking. At least I didn't!
