Re: Transporting a guitar from the UK to the PO

Hi Karen I am sure you have found a solution by now however in the spirit of perhaps helping some other P-O Life reader, I found this company using Google. No experience myself but seem to transport anything from UK to anywhere on the continent. https://m.facebook.com/wwwchannel-hoppercouk-246163772...

Hi Nicki, I would say you are EXACTLY the type of contributor who is perfectly qualified to post in the newsletter. Paul Young....he was my next back catalogue to draw upon! Ah, maybe the newsletter is dead and Facebook is easier but Zuckerberg is such a spineless jerk, I will never join. At least we have increased the newsletter input by at least 30% in one day! Personally I think some more photos of you running...

Thank you Rombolo - tho' I have been running this morning! :D :D :D It seems that everybody has migrated to Facebook - and yet the forum is easier to follow, doesn't disappear down the page, is easy to consult.... Thanks Kate. Facebook!! 🤮

I quote William Shatner to inspire your readership to break their silence for the good of the planet, and not just the P-O!

"We meet aliens every day who have something to give us. They come in the form of people with different opinions."

Life Café? More like a morgue

Come on people, the least we can do is give Kate a bit of editorial gymnastics. Have you no opinions on any of the recent world issues that will eventually impact of P-O life? A café where no-one puts the world to rights? Dominic Cummings breaking lockdown? George Floyd murder by US police? Trump th...

Re: Banned from the beach

The answer to your question is look back to the UK. The government, for once, treats the public like adults, 'asks' them to adhere to the lockdown/ social distancing advice, clearly gives the health and scientific reasons why they should......and still some people flout it and gather together like c...

In the course of erecting a huge marquee for a wedding event, we laid out protective covers on the ground beforehand. I kept hearing my fellow workers say...vâche this, vâche that....I couldn't help but innocently enquire if the word for tarpaulin was the same as the friendly beast. Of course, it wa...

Unashamed tree hugger here....just wanted to suggest that if more people were tree huggers, the natural world and environment would not be in the crisis that it is in now. I for one support the direct action taken in London this week as this gets the government's attention as many of these protester...

Richard and Sharon,

I can assure you that you can avoid the naturist area if you wish to as it is a dedicated area; the populus of the port, nearby beach, lagoon and the Spa supermarket were all clad in textiles everytime I have visited or stayed. There were no euphemisms in my original piece :D :D

Great place to sit and watch the nautically minded or weekend sailors tinker and clean their pride and joy. Sit and listen to the birds calling and the gentle clang of rope against aluminium mast while perhaps having a drink at the lovely bar there. Marvel at the sight of the mobile boat lifting rig...

Thinking of a new furry friend at home? Please don't go to a breeder.

Dear dog lovers, There are so many dogs looking for a new home after being abandoned or deemed surplus to requirements, in farming and hunting communities particularly, that there is no longer any need to patronise breeders by handing over expensive fees. If you have the environment, time, interest ...

Hi there, I am sure you have found a great solution by now, or replaced the pipe several times since.
