Re: Alarming drop in Passenger numbers for Perpi airport

Dimitri has moved onwards and upwards Deb and don't know if he follows the forum any more as he is now based in Toulouse. You can tag him on the Facebook group but as far as I know, he's no longer involved with Perpignan airport - our loss as he really did try and get things moving there.

It’s not ‘the end of the line’ though cos it’s still here....but it’s only as good as it’s mem...

Re: Long Term Rentals

Hello Normat, That is exactly what we did when we moved down here (a long time ago now) :D We rented the property from some people who usually rented out in the summer for 6 weeks, but were happy for a much cheaper long term let as long as we looked after the property. We never looked back and went ...

Re: French Wills

and from Eleanor... You can give somebody «jouissance» of the house- that means they don't actually inherit, but can live there freely until death (or whatever is stipulated in the will). That way, if husband dies first, wife will continue living in house until death, at which point the husband's so...

I don’t think they are all necessarily OK. That is a lot to be gained by recommending certain investments which might not be suitable for a client but bring big commission to an unscrupulous advisor. Blevins have lots of support, controls and backup to ensure that their advisors are followings all t...

We now use an independent financial advisor because if you don't understand money, you can miss out on a lot. I've always just kept my money in the bank - I can understand that. It's simple and uncomplicated.... tax and pensions, investments, wills and wealth tax go straight over my head! Blevins ar...

Re: Funeral advice please

I have, sadly, been to a couple, both cremations. The service took place at the crematorium so it doesn’t really answer your question, but I think that like in the UK, usually flowers are sent to the undertaker or taken along to the ceremony, certainly not sent to the persons home. I always think th...

Travel from Perpignan airport?

We have had a second home in Arles sur Tech since 2005. It would be very helpful if you could advise on current status of onward travel from Perpignan airport. We usually use Bournemouth/ Girona route but have just given Stansted/Perpignan a trial. We did travel on Easter Sunday. We got a taxi to Ga...
