Re: Life Café? More like a morgue

Haha. I’ve only ever banned one person from this forum. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D But yes you’re right. I started the Facebook page and group because I felt that I needed to move with the times But it killed the forum. I don’t love Facebook myself. People get just as argumentative there as they used t...

Re: Life Café? More like a morgue

Know what you mean. I still feel that way every time I go away (Be singing Paul Young all day now :D ). Soon as I see the Alberes range ahead I feel good, know I’m home.

Not sure that most people will be terribly bothered to lose their rating.....but all ideas welcome.

Plenty of people look at it, we have new members joining daily - but very few people p...

Hello Kit, This was posted direct from the deconfinement speech....but it doesn't really mention private homes. https://anglophone-direct.com/phase-2-deconfinement/ Not sure exactly where we can find that info officially but I'm sure a socially distanced garden party with care can't upset too many r...

Definitely agree there Pvtred - and having to touch a handle to open the door is another problem. In response to Opas above, I am sometimes one of those who doesn't wash my hands as I prefer to get out of the door, and disinfect my hands properly with handwash that I always carry about with me. Diff...

I think that there were quite a few people taking to the beaches, particularly with this lovely weather, in groups, families, kids etc so it was decided that the only way to stop this was to ban everyone.

Couldn’t agree more. Both excellent in different ways. Have you also tried the Salamander in Sorède? Another superb restaurant experience.

Re: Hygene - particularly important now!

I took someone for an appointment at Montpellier CHU last week. Sitting in the corridor with loads of others waiting to see the consultant ( the waiting room was full) I was shocked to see there was no hand wash anywhere and the one loo for the whole corridor was decidedly grubby. (Tho there was soa...

More from Facebook

I can confirm Coffee Mood in central Perpignan does excellent and genuine flat whites. L'Albera cafe at Gran Jonquera shopping mall also makes flat whites but they called it a coffee with milk!

Re: Where to get a flat white coffee?

From Facebook

We're coffee afficionados. The best places for a Flat White in the P-O are Josephine's in Thuir, Cafetiere Catalane at the Auchan Mall, Marabouthe in Perpignan and I have heard that there is an Aussie café in Collioure maybe it is OMVIO.

We stayed here last just out of the centre, about 5 mins away by tube which is just next door. Cost us 65 euros inc breakfast. Obviously, prices change depending when but we found this really good. https://www.booking.com/hotel/es/casa-vaganto.en-gb.html?aid=345724;label=banner-728x90-minimal;sid=c1...

Welcome to the forum Phil.
French side any time for me.....but I suppose it depends on lots of things; which language you speak fast, what your interests are.....
Bon courage with whatever you choose...or maybe I should say ‘animo’. It’s a great life on either side of the border!
