Handyman

Does anyone know of a handyman or plumber in the Alberes? We have a burst pipe in the garden watering system, from the forage not mains water.
Thank you.

Thank you all for the very useful replies. I've gone with Kate's suggestion of Mas Can Tillet. Very nice people, I'll let you know what the logs are like when I receive them in a fortnight.

Re: problems with kitchen shop - advice needed

How did you pay for the kitchen? Did you for example use a credit card to pay for any part of the transaction?

Yes thank you Russell, got it sorted. Weldom in Argeles have a service for cutting to size. For bevelling, drillling screw holes etc we had to go to Perpignan. The obvious places, Castorama, Leroy Merlin and a vitrerie on Av Anatole France. Thanks for all the suggestions. Another great clock by the ...

Kate, thank you very much indeed. This is very helpful and exactly what I needed. Thank you also for creating such a useful forum. Just in case anyone is interested:- We are able to raise the claim because we bought the kitchen partly using our UK credit card. This means we are covered under the UK ...

We're looking for someone who specialises in kitchens to provide a report and quote. We bought a kitchen including fitting from a major national supplier. In short they have done a very poor job and we have gone into dispute with them. Our insurance has asked for a report on the faults and a quote t...

Our friends did this journey in the summer. They bought a ticket all the way through from Argeles to Barcelona. There was a change at Portbou and I think they said they had a wait at Portbou of about 45 minutes. They bought the ticket at Argeles station and I think it cost about 16 or 17 euros each ...

Like you we were seduced by Ceret and viewed many houses, none quite hitting the mark. Eventually we discovered the Alberes villages and bought here. The attractions were garden with pool, walking distance to shops and restaurants, the benefit of the sea on the climate, great views, life all year ro...

The wind blows away the clouds hence we get more sunshine. Up in the Ariege it is wetter and colder in the winter. Just inland from the coast of the P.O. there is the benefit of the warm wind off the sea. It's indicative of the climate that peaches, oranges and lemons all grow in the garden without ...
