Re: Small house or appartment

Hello Matthew, how small is small, and what areas does she like? I know of a lovely 3-bed villa (120m2) in St Genis-des-Fontaines, walking distance from shops etc, great views - and it is a private sale. Happy to send her more info if that is the sort of thing she is looking for?

Unsolicited phone calls

Is it just me or is there an increase in the amount of rogue phone callers at the moment? A few weeks ago it was just the usual solar panel salesmen but now I have several calls a day trying to sell me top-up health insurance - the last salesman even gave the name of a French comedian! My handset ca...

House Sitter wanted for July

Does anybody fancy spending a week in a lovely house (my opinion!) near Thuir, enjoying great views, the pool, and looking after a very friendly dog and cat? PM me for more information if you are interested.
Thanks,

I've just had the facade of my house cleaned and painted by a really good professional team who did a full survey of the cracks, and gave me a proper quote. The 'gypsy, who called round last year just looked at the house for 2 minutes then gave me a price and then got quite cross when I said I wante...

Does anyone know where I could buy Ginger Ale? I have some visitors coming tomorrow and I stupidly told them that their favourite drink of whisky anf ginger would not be a problem, but couldn't find anything in Auchan just now.
Thanks in advance,

Loulou is very embarrassed about throwing up in your car, but as it has never happened before, we are going to blame your driving!
Thanks to everyone who replied. Think I will start off with a smaller trip to Spain as a trial run first - and hope I can still rely on 'MountainGal' for dog holidays!

Travelling to UK with dog

Would love to take my dog on holiday to the UK (just got her 'passport') but am baffled by the options. Has anyone any experience of this? - Whether to drive and take the ferry, or try public transport (which airlines take pets - she'd be ok in the hold for a couple of hours rather than spend 10+ ho...

Last October I saw what I think is described as a Coulevre slither out from under the hedge by the pool and it raised its head up and then chased and caught a passing frog. I didn't know frogs could scream and it was all pretty disgusting. I still worry when the dog chases a ball into the hedge and ...
