An American couple are on a driving holiday through Wales, and pass through the town named Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. They were obviously having trouble trying to say the word and neither really knew the correct Welsh pronunciation. So, they decided to stop for lunch...

That is such a great diet - no wonder your rugby league / rugby union and the great cricket team touring Australia just now are doing so well.
Eat like the French - leave your nice old habits on the other side of the channel.....

A must for everyone that enjoys Port Vendres is the book title 'Monsieur Mackintosh' by Robin Crichton. We were lucky to be there this time last year for the unveiling of the plaque for CRM. The parade up the road to the famous hotel - drinks - all singing with a great Catalan/French/Scots spirit! G...

In the secure area that you mention I have found that you cannot gain access without tickets etc. I do know that the challenge is not beyond the kids of this great city, but it is a lot safer than some of the blogs report.

There is always a lovely Spanish lady who can help you buy a ticket to the airport. Just Q behind the English tourists. Smashing train service from Sants, recently I helped a lady and her family from Rio with lots of bags etc on & off the train at the airport station and had ten euro pressed into my...

I do think that older parents now and in the future will need a lot more than club type outings - they from all accounts love to entertain at home and enjoy immensly the company of their offspring. Wanting to know about relationships - whose dating whom and what do you you think about the current ad...

I don't know your financial situation but you can get au pairs for the elderly now which may also be worth considering. My wife looks after an 89 year old lady two days a week [10am to 2pm] her family are happy to pay as this gives them a small break. This very lovely lady can invite her own friend...

Bougnettes' [bunyetetes in catalan]are golden, puffy, sugary doughnuts. They are known by other names too: bunyols, crespells, oreillettes or garrifes. Try making them at home.
Since Rivesaltes Johnny gave me a headsup, I have found plenty of information. Merci

Thats a nice looking pup. The markings by the eyes is just like our old dog. A guy at work said that when the dogs are sleeping a predator would see those markings and think that it was the dog's eyes and that they were watching them - therefore keeping their distance.

Has anyone the recipe for the lovely catalan bread sold somedays in breadshops in Collioure - it is sort of a fluffy flat bread sprinkled with sugar. I first saw young people pulling bits off before they got out the door.
We are back in NZ and would like to bake up some for the grandchildren.
