Re: Climbing the Canigou - any recommendations?

The 4x4 is a little bumpy but well worth it in my opinion, especially if you are short on time. The walk was nowhere near as difficult as I expected it to be, however, I couldn’t do the last 250 metres as I suffer from vertigo and it became impossible to continue, unfortunately. The latter part had ...

Re: Effects of Brexit in P.-O.

They cost £5.50 each. You go in to the post office with your driving licence, plastic one and a passport photograph for each. If you go with a paper licence you need to take your passport as proof of ID. They then do it there and then. Takes minutes. Someone can go and do it for you but they need to...

Our seller had his property with agencies but we did not know this until after we had approached him via his private advertisement. We paid less for it but this was through negotiation.

Dead right Thumbers. If the prospective buyers have any connection at all via an agent then the seller has to pay the agency fees.

We bought ours privately. The vendor found the Notaire who did everything. As buyers we used a solicitor who understood French law but it was not necessary and something we would not do again.

Thanks for checking Kate. Until a bill arrives though they won't be getting paid until we are able to go personally into the office in December. How annoying to change things without notice! On the other matter Pol we paid part of the taxe from when we purchased the house until the end of the year. ...

Taxe d’habitation?

On the main page of PO Life the article about Taxe d’habitation says that payment is due by Nov 20th. I find this at odds with our dates for payment which has always been December for taxe hab and October for Fonciere. Has something changed? I haven't yet recieved our Taxe hab bill.

I can access it too.
It is much more attractive and inviting to use. I agree with Thumbers that the colours would benefit from more contrast ,mind I am speccy 4 eyes. Also the link for where the distribution points are to be found doesn't work for me.

Swedish crime thriller authors.

Having just thoroughly enjoyed reading "The Millennium Trilogies" written by the late Stieg Larsson. I tried another Swedish author Jo Nesbo "The Snowman" and must say it was an even more ...

If you want them fitted then the garage directly behind Mc Donald's in Le Boulou do them. Cost made and fitted €30.
