internet speed

I'll preface this by saying I know little of the hi-tech world. However, living in St André 66690, we have grown accustomed to chronically low broadband, because we are the limit of the exchange in Sorède. Recently however, we have heard that Orange are giving us a boost with a new facility in St An...

Re: Missing: Sandy Mulkeen, Taurinya

Like many here on P-OLife we met Sandy on a few occasions. She visited us at home, and I will treasure her unique book Beyond the Hedge, which she signed for me. She was a gentle innocent soul, and we hope she is resting in peace now in a place where she finds Dave and Pete waiting for her. RIP Sandy

Re: home for a donkey?

I've just read a pm from Jane Lawes about the donkey. I could hardly read it as it is in faint text on a black background. Jane, if you see this, it was me who suggested on this thread that you contact La Ferme du Bonheur, but it's nothing actually to do with me, it was just an idea for adopting the...

My father died in Nelson New Zealand, where he had lived since leaving UK with my brothers for the last 35 years of his life. He was able to plan for the day.....he chose a non-religious celebrant, and his music was a selection of Louis Armstrong and Dean Martin. The room was filled with the many fr...

That could be useful in an emergency if e.g. unable to move to phone. As mentioned, we can ask her for different genres of music/an array of artist...
