Tuning my HDD/DVD recorder

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I've checked the manual and all it shows is reference to MPEG2 in HDD recording and the compression format in video recording is MPEG2. So I've got my answer and thanks for your help and knowledge in this. Probably won't buy a new one yet as I don't record much of French T...

Tuning my hdd/dvd recorder

Hi I have a LG HDD recorder/DVD player which I am sure is HD/TNT ready but I am having trouble in auto tuning the French channels. It tunes about 10 Spanish/Catalan channels but I cannot receive any French. The TV is fine and all the HD channels are received. Any clues as to what I may be doing wrong?

Today we followed Allan's instructions to do an update of Firmware but that didn't do the trick. It only comes up on TF1. Tomorrow he will call the retailer.

Thanks Sue. Tried Gifi, no luck but not the tabac. Makes sense as they sell cigarettes etc. Always amazes me that you can't buy plasters, paracetamol and basic medicaments in French supermarkets too. Been back in UK for 4 days where you can get anything from a needle to an anchor in the supermarket!...

Suggest trying La Bartavalle next in Argeles village. No view but food exquisite, good local wines and local soft drinks too, great service, excellent value for money.

Tim the sausage man is coming down the hill on the 13th. I arrive on the 17th! Would anyone mind collecting some sausages for me and I will collect them from you when I arrive? There will probably be three packs and can be frozen as I will be putting them in the freezer anyway. Many thanks to anyone...

I've just updated to IOS8.2 and have nothing but problems since. Screen freezes, keyboard freezes, crashes, very slow operating and clunky (technical term!) If you haven't done it yet, wait a while till Apple sorts it out.

Our friends said the same as above. They loved it. Agreed not much choice but what they had, they said was delicious and good value for €35. They said they could buy a bottle of wine for €7 or €10 (amongst others) The ambiance was very good apparently and the service too. All in all they were very h...
