I don't suppose they do it from Nantes or other places north/ west of Paris ( for those of us terrified of driving in unfamiliar huge cities ) ?

argelès toiles du soleil etc

Sounds marvellous. Wish I had known about it earlier this week before my visiting friend left. They are not in a good location for visitors / tourists - but maybe that's not the market they are looking for ? Perhaps someone could do a full descriptive piece with pics for the Magazine ( with a little...

PAYG mobile 'phone sim recommendation ?

Anyone have a recommendation for a current good offer on a PAYG mobile please ? ( Just the simcard, not the handset ).

I.e., not one which you have to cancel, but one which just works so long as you keep it topped up ?

washing machine repair ?? near Argel`es if poss.

Does anyone still repair washing machines ?

My Indesit fills with water, and even seems to heat it, but then the drum won't turn.

It happened all of a sudden : no warning noises like you get if the bearings are broken .

Have checked the outlet thing at the bottom - not clogged with anything.

Do you have a link to that offer ?

You mean really unlimited ? And and on a PAYG basis, without a year's sign up ?

On the subj. of the FREE data sim - do I gather that the only way to obtain this amount of GB at this price is via an annual / ongoing sign up online ? If so, is a UK bank card accepted in the system ? Is it really easy to cancel, or are all kinds of hoops and obstacles put in the way ? I suppose it...

registering your Irish car in P.O. ?

Just wondering : did you manage it yet ? The re registering business ? If you managed it I would be v interested to learn what steps you went through , in stages. It's something I tried to do about ten years ago and, to cut a very long story short, ended up giving up on, after many hours and days tr...

how many hours tv / netflix with 100 gb ?

Could anyone advise roughly how many hours of online TV / Netflix films one would expect to watch with 100 GB ?

Is it a realistic solution for that kind of internet usage ?

Or is there a danger you would go over your limit and end up with a magnificent bill / additional charge ?

I did it once 10 years ago - it was fine. Just not fast! Out of curiosity I just checked the timetables and it's still viable, several times a day - but 14.48 is the last train to get from Girona to make a connection at Cerbere. Use renfe.com and search Girona to Cerbere for train times - and then s...

The French system for paying ( or not ) the TV license does seem remarkably simple and effective: the ( reasonable ) assumption is made that 'everyone' has a TV these days ~ but for the small minority who do not a simple honour declaration provides an exemption. And it is collected through the counc...

Is that the case even in high summer ? It was a seasonal thing when I last used it, admittedly some years ago.

flights to Perpignan / Carcassonne direct from England ?

So is it possible to summarise please which airports in England will have direct flights this ( 2018 ) summer to Perpignan or Carcassonne ? even the poorly used lines assist the network as a whole

They need to think much more rigorously about closing lines just because they are not much used. For a start : the infrastructure of rails and stations is already there so it's just a matter of keeping them going ~is it really that expensive to do so ? But more radically : the fact of the small line...

Ryanair already does MAN CARCassonne ~ at least this year anyway.
