speeding fine

I had a similar experience earlier this year - I arrived in Argeles for August to find a speeding fine from early April. Before I could do much about it a 'poste recommande' letter came with an augmented fine, but again discounted if it was paid within 15 days. If you have not yet received this lett...

I'm very encouraged by the recent developments - thank you to Dimi for your input. As to the London City (or elsewhere) to Orly then Hop!, I can't agree that the Hop fares are high. Over the last 2 years or so I have consistently paid a standard 59 - 62 euros per person per flight - not my idea of e...

Publicity about what PO has to offer - beaches, scenery, skiing, history etc - is pathetic...

UK TV in France

We seem to have come to a solution which will suit us when in Argeles. At Easter, thanks to advice on the forum, we used Filmon through my iPod - brilliant and virtually no buffering, unlike using the PC. The only problem was that we only had 1 hour's viewing per session as the iPod charges and conn...

UK TV in P-O

Thanks Allan for the excellent info. As we are London-based and spend around 3 months a year in Argeles, the G-Box solution sounds best for us as we wouldn't want to go down a route that involves large subscriptions unless really necessary. May I ask how to buy a G-Box - are they available in France...
